How to Capture and Share Your Cezanne Results on Social Media

You’ve just finished a Cezanne service, your client loves their hair and you’re ready to share the results. A before-and-after photo is a great place to start, but there’s often more to share than the finished look.

For someone considering a treatment, knowing what your client wants and how their hair feels afterwards can help them understand where Cezanne might fit into their own routine. And with a few photos, short videos and the right details in your caption, you can give them a better idea of what the service involves.

Before You Begin

Start by asking your client if they’re comfortable having their hair photographed or filmed, and let them know where you’d like to share it. Some may be happy to appear on your social media, while others would prefer to keep their face out of the frame. Asking beforehand gives you time to plan around what works for them.

During the consultation, make a note of what they’re hoping to change. Maybe their blow-dry takes more effort than they’d like, or certain areas become difficult to manage between washes. Those details can help you explain the appointment when it’s time to write the post.

Set Up Your Before and After

Your phone makes capturing content easy and convenient, and a few simple editing tools can help you crop your images and put a post together. Start with a well-lit spot in the salon and a simple background, then use that same space before and after the service.

Think about the composition before you start snapping. Choose flattering angles that show the hair clearly, leaving enough room to capture the full length. A back view can show the overall finish, a side view brings the sections around the face into focus, and the front view helps show the full finished look while making your client feel like a superstar. Keep your camera at a similar height and distance, and repeat those angles afterwards so the photos are easy to compare.

When editing, keep the hair looking true to what you captured. A tighter crop can help frame your work, but filters that change the color or soften the texture can make the result harder to judge.

Pay attention to styling, too. If your before shows air-dried hair and your after includes a professional blow-dry and flat-iron finish, mention that in the caption. It gives viewers a clearer picture of the appointment and how you achieved the finished look.

Add a Little Movement

As you take photos, be sure to capture video as well. Ask your client to turn gently so you can show the movement through the lengths, or film as you brush through a section.

A few clips from the appointment can help bring the service together. From the formula being applied, a section during the blow-dry or the finished result. Keep your phone somewhere easy to reach so you can record a moment without holding up the appointment, or simply ask another stylist or assistant to help you.

You don’t need to film every step, instead choose the details that help explain the service and show a closer look at your work. Plus, fewer clips mean less editing later.

Give Your Caption Some Context

When writing the caption, start by explaining what your client wanted from the appointment. Then share which Cezanne treatment you used and how you finished their hair.

For example, if they wanted to make their regular blow-dry easier, explain that. If you focused on specific sections, mention where and why. These details make the post more useful to someone who recognizes the same challenges in their own routine.

Keep the language specific to the appointment. Rather than promising everyone the result shown in the photo, explain what you did for this client and invite people to ask whether the service could suit their hair.

Before you post, tag @cezanne_hair and add a few relevant hashtags to help people find your work. Include your salon’s location alongside Cezanne and smoothing-related tags so potential clients nearby can discover your services, too.

Check In After the First Wash

The salon photos capture the appointment, but a follow-up can help you learn how the treatment fits into your client’s routine. Ask how their first wash and styling went, whether any sections felt easier to manage and if they have questions about aftercare.

Consider adding a photo of the aftercare you recommended or mentioning the products in your caption, with a little detail about why you chose them. It’s another way to show the care behind the finished look and help others understand how to maintain their results at home.
